When you find a bobby pin around the house, pick it up and put it in your hair-do. When you find a bobby pin Anywhere Else, don’t.

    Isn’t that so hard sometimes, though? Especially when it’s an unusual color or shape of hair pin or hair elastic/whatever.

    I am forever finding bobby pins in inconvenient spots on the studio floor, occasionally by stepping on them. I never know what to do with them. I always end up placing them on the braces that hold up the barre (or, if in the studio-which-only-has-portable-barres, on the piano) in hopes that their owners will come and retrieve them … but given that they all look more or less alike, I suppose that’s unlikely?
