It was good broth.

So, on Fryday, (you know, the day when you fry things) friend is checking out the menu board in the kitchen at Adult Beginner headquarters and he’s like, “whoa. Wednesday must’ve been Huge. And that’s nice you got to eat a real dinner on Thursday.” and Mr. Adult Beginner was like, “No. It was broth that day too.”
Being sick is weird you guys.
Neither of us had any appetite all week. (The boy was fine though. Ate like a champ)
So weird. I mean, I can always eat. There is Always room for dessert, I just don’t always have any.
But this past week? I’d like, eat two grapes while getting the boy’s lunch ready and be like, “welp, full now. That’ll do me ’till dinner.”
So weird.
Today we are pretty much back to normal, but not actually having Swiss chard ribbon omelets as per menu board because as it turns out that sounds gross.
Oh well.
Missed ballet class this week.
The report I got back from Lé Assistant was that it was fine despite her bum knee and Smirnoff’s disappointment at the low attendance.
Oh noes!

Sorry you were sick! It is hard when everyone is sick at once. (much better to take turns)

re: low attendance – yes, my classes were also pretty empty this past week. I think many people feel the pressure of “buy-buy-buy” for the holidays, and others have parties and “functions” to attend, and many are – yep – sick. (I was also ill, but with a cold /sore throat one CAN teach, though dancing is not so hot)

    Feel better soon!

    • Sore throat no fun!!!!
      Hope you’re feeling better too.
Usually I hang in there with ballet through the holidays, some years I have ended up getting a lot of unscheduled private lessons from a grumpy teacher who maybe should’ve just cancelled the month all together, except I doubt he knows what to do with himself when not teaching.

Ha ha, Yes, I can imagine a teacher being grumpy if there is only one student, but it not THAT student’s fault that the others are not there! Were the private lessons at least tailored to your needs? :)

  2. Sorry you’re sick. Hope you feel better soon.
