It’s still winter, you guys

Even here in southern California.
Some things about taking The Ballet in The Winter Time suck:
it’s cold, the Adult Beginner is even less flexible than usual, one of my legwarmers has gone missing and I won’t wear the other one by itself because it’ll look like I’m trying to pull a Black Swan.
But other things are nice.
Like looking in the mirror toward the end of class and seeing the whole class with rosy cheeks. Bright healthy rosy cheeks!
When was the last time you saw a bunch of adults with rosy cheeks? Like a bunch of little kids who’ve been running around outside after school in the fresh air? It’s adorbs!

About adultbeginner

Had my first ballet class Ever at the advanced age of thirty-two. Yikes.

Here’s an easy way to get almost new legwarmers: do you have any long sleeve tops that you may not wear much anymore? Just cut off the sleeves. Or, you can buy legwarmers now in many teen oriented clothing stores in your local mall. Or, just go to your nearest walmart, plenty of them there. Good luck! I enjoy your blog.

    • Yeah yeah yeah but I want My legwarmers! My cashmere ones that I made!!! Where is the missing one?! I have unfolded all the sheets and pillow cases and checked in case the missing legwarmer was stuck inside but No Good!!!! Gah!!!!
Oh, and I consider Not shopping at the Walmart to be one of the Great Benefits of living in Los Angeles: there aren’t any here.

Try the freezing cold of northern Norway! It can be about -15 degrees C (or 5 degrees F if you prefer) for weeks. Luckily, now it’s about 32 degrees F so it’s becoming warmer :D

  3. Hey, we have floor heating in our studio ;-)
