Under, Not Over

You!
Girl in my dance class!
Yeah, you!
Did you get dressed for class in a rush? Was there a phone call or small hurricane? Did a squirrel run through you apartment while you were putting on your leo and tights? Did your dog stand up and start playing the tambourine?
‘Cause I’m just looking for an explanation for your pink tights being on top of your black leotard.
I mean, surely it wasn’t on purpose.
There must have been some major, major distraction.
What’s that? You meant to wear your tights on the outside?
But why?
Why on earth would you do that intentionally?
Are you aware that when you stretch one leg up in the air you are displaying that little football shaped crotch lining that tights have? And it’s kind of unattractive?
You are? And you don’t care?!
Huh.

Actually, that is a pretty common choice for professional dancers. It makes tight color changes (like black to pink) easier in a performance. Also, especially with black tights, it makes for a longer line in the leg, which always look nice!
